Product description

Hwato 'drawing pin' needles are used for firmly implanting in the skin at specific points on the auricle distributed in a determined pattern. Once the point has been selected, it is 'marked' with a probe by pressing down and leaving an impression; routine disinfection is then carried out; then, with the help of tweezers, the needle is inserted, sticking its body completely into the pavilion, then secured with a small plaster and left in place. The needle can be stimulated by gentle pressure 2 to 3 times a day. The residence time of the needle depends on the season. In summer, it should be limited to 1-2 days, taking care that the puncture does not become infected through sweat. In autumn and winter, needles can be kept in place for longer as required in individual cases.

Construction and technical characteristics

Hwato 'drawing pin' needles are made from high quality stainless steel wire and subjected to shaping and sharpening processes. Subsequent grinding and polishing processes make them perfectly smooth and flowing. They are then immersed in an electrolytic bath to remove any residual metal particles or foreign bodies from the production processes. The body of the needle, with its characteristic and exclusive 'pine needle' tip, favours smooth and painless insertion and remarkable smoothness between tissues. The needle has dimensions ∅0.22x1.3 mm, and is surmounted by a flat round head.

Packaging

Hwato "drawing pin" needles are placed on a plate and covered with plaster, ready for use. The package contains 100 needles, divided into sealed blister packs of 10 needles each.
